AXAGON PCI-E to M.2 NVMe + SATA B-key slot adapter

The adapter supports the use of SATA and NVMe (PCI-Express) M.2 SSDs, single-sided and double-sided. The adapter has no SSD capacity limitations and can use M.2 cards of all sizes up to 110 mm in length. Of course, both drives can operate simultaneously.

Thanks to the PCI-Express 3.0 4-lane interface compatible with x4, x8 and x16 slots, speeds of up to 8GBps can be achieved. When using NVMe SSDs, transfer speeds will be several times higher than standard SATA drives.

The very high-quality processing of the card, including copper-plated ventilation holes, helps to better dissipate heat generated during the operation of M.2 SSD drives.

A dual blue LED indicates connection or data transfer in the M.2 slot. A low profile blanking plate is included for mounting the adapter in low-profile cases.

• SATA connector for connection to the motherboard when using a SATA M.2 SSD. We recommend using a SATA 6G controller for the best transfer speeds.

• NGFF 75-pin B-key slot for mounting a SATA (AHCI) M.2 SSD drive.

• Note: ATTENTION! The adapter allows you to insert B+M-key drives into both M.2 slots. It is important to check the drive parameters - i.e. if the drive is designed for SATA or NVMe (PCI-Express) interface and connect it to the correct slot. SATA drives connect to the B-key slot, NVMe drives connect to the M-key slot.

Power supply:

• The adapter is powered directly from the PCI-Express bus, no external power supply is required.

• Dual power system provides enough power for connected M.2 SSDs.

• The redundant power system also reduces the thermal load on the adapter.

Supported operating systems:

• MS Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10, Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016 (all 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows OS supported), Linux with kernel 2.6.31 and higher.

• Note: When using Windows 7, it is necessary to check with the M.2 SSD manufacturer for support for this OS, especially when using NVMe drives.
